The Daughters of Penelope, Hoosier District #12, is driven by a common goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for everyone.  We strive to promote Hellenism, Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family & Individual Excellence. The Daughters of Penelope encourage and promote loyalty to the country in which they live; They cultivate the ideals and traditions of Hellenism; promote opportunities of Education, and promote the spirit of cooperation. They work closely and in harmony with the entire AHEPA Family – AHEPA, Daughters of Penelope, Maids of Athena, and Sons of Pericles. The Daughters of Penelope is non-partisan and non-denominational.
Today, the Daughters of Penelope are a leader in philanthropic, educational, and cultural activities. They are also globally connected, with chapters in the United States, Canada, Greece, Germany, France, Australia and Cyprus.
